This is our promise to the nation
Reliance Foundation is committed to bringing about sustainable and inclusive change across
the length and breadth of India, especially in the lives of the most marginalised and vulnerable
sections of society. We are humbled to have impacted over 5.1 crore (51 million) people in over

44,700 villages across the country. As Reliance Foundation enters the second decade of its
journey that started in 2010, we will continue to increase the intensity and scale of our work
towards our vision of a self-reliant and prosperous India.
New challenges emerged as India, and the world,
faced one of the greatest humanitarian crises of
the past century. The COVID-19 pandemic has put
the health, lives and livelihoods of all, especially
vulnerable communities, at even greater risk. To
combat the virus, we needed a robust healthcare
infrastructure, a strong supply chain of essentials,
and uninterrupted digital connectivity, especially to
our rural communities. The entire Reliance family
rose to the challenge and was at the forefront of the
nation’s fight against the pandemic. We did all that
we could do to help India face and overcome these
unprecedented challenges, and we did so urgently.
Our comprehensive support to push back the
COVID-19 pandemic was implemented in the form of
Five Missions – Mission Oxygen, Mission COVID Infra,
Mission Anna Seva, Mission Employee Care, and
Mission Vaccine Suraksha.
Through our Mission Oxygen, we provided medical-
grade liquid oxygen to various states, free-of-cost.
Though Reliance has traditionally never produced
medical oxygen, we repurposed our facility at
Jamnagar in record time to help India breathe. We are
producing over 11% of India’s medical-grade oxygen
production, meeting the needs one lakh patients on
a daily basis and extending crucial support during a
critical period in our country. Reliance Foundation
also helped in providing oxygen generators and
concentrators to hospitals across the country, with
our teams working tirelessly to help our fellow
Indians in this hour of need.
To bolster India’s healthcare infrastructure and extend
support to our medical staff, Reliance Foundation’s
Mission COVID Infra set up and managed 2,000+
beds across multiple locations including Maharashtra,
Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. In partnership with the
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, we managed
over 875 beds in Mumbai, along with ICU facilities and
healthcare personnel. This was the largest contribution
to COVID care in Mumbai by a philanthropic
organisation. Through the Sir H N Reliance Foundation
Hospital, we provided much needed human resource,
infrastructure and technical support.
